Owner, Strength Coach and Nutritionist
Before completing his BA in Biology at Assumption College, Joe played hockey, soccer, and lacrosse at Milton High School. He then played 4 years of soccer at Assumption while becoming captain his senior year. Upon graduation, Joe worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for Braintree Rehab Physical Therapy before being offered the opportunity to work as a strength coach at Edge Performance Systems in Foxboro. In 2012 Joe founded COMPETE Strength & Conditioning where he and his staff train middle school, high school, college, and professional athletes of all sports.
Strength Nutrition Coach
After playing hockey, lacrosse, and football at Xaverian Brothers High School, Dean went on to Wake Forest University where he was named President of his club hockey team. After discovering his passion for nutrition and training, Dean earned a certification as an IYCA Youth Fitness Specialist while at school. At the conclusion of his freshman year, he began working full time at Compete while attending Boston College at night. Recently, Dean has shifted his focus toward nutrition, and received a nutrition coaching certification through Precision Nutrition as a Level 1 Certified Nutrition Coach.
Kham joined Compete after completing the Summer 2016 internship. Kham graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Exercise Science and was a member of both the Men’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. While in school, Kham also worked as a Rehab Aide for Marathon Physical Therapy. His experience there has given him a passion for injury prevention amongst all clients. Kham is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
